The Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, Dr. Qassem Al-Radaideh, sponsored the closing ceremony of the TaqaddumCPC 2026 programming competition, organized by the Faculty of Information Technology at Yarmouk University, with technical supervision from the Taqaddum Tech student team affiliated with the faculty.
The team supervisor, Dr. Mohammed Al-Atoom, indicated that the competition is a distinguished and important event for teaching students problem-solving based on the global ACM ICPC competition system.
As the supervisors indicated, 24 student teams from various disciplines participated in the competition, with each team consisting of three students who competed in providing precise programming solutions in multiple languages such as C++ and Python. The competition witnessed high levels of rivalry and an enthusiastic atmosphere among the participating teams over the course of 5 hours, solving programming problems that ranged from 10 to 15 questions on the Codeforces platform.
At the conclusion of the event, the dean honored the teams that won the top positions and presented them with cash prizes. Participation certificates were also given to all the students who participated in the competition and the organizing students. The results were as follows:
First place: The Darkness team
Consisting of the students: Omar Al-Moreh Li, Alaa Tahlaawi, and Abdullah Madardas.
Second place: Abu-Trika team
Composed of the students: Imran Al-Zoubi, Diaa Al-Din Ali Dweikat, and Omar Nizar Al-Zoubi.
Third place: Sharkna belgalat 1 team
Composed of the students: Sara Bani Bakr, Farah Al-Matarneh, and Shahd Bani Issa.
