Under the patronage of the Vise Dean, Professor Imad Shawagfeh, the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science organized the launch event of the Taqaddum student team affiliated with the faculty, supervised by Professor Mohamed Ashraf Al-Atoom from the Department of Information Systems. The founding members of the team are students Zaid Al-Khayr Aburman, Mohamed Al-Rashdan, and Mohamed Abu Sini.
The event witnessed the announcement of the vision and goals of the "Taqaddum" team, which aims to develop the skills of university students and all those interested in technical and social fields, by organizing training workshops and quality events that enhance knowledge and provide real practical opportunities, in addition to building a student community based on learning, collaboration, and creating positive impact.
Coinciding with the launch event, a lecture titled "Data in Our World" was held, attended by a number of university students and those interested in technical and technological fields.
The lecture focused on the importance of data in the digital age and the increasing role it plays in various sectors, explaining how modern companies and institutions rely on data for decision-making, service development, and understanding user needs more accurately.
The lecture also addressed the importance of awareness in handling data, whether in terms of its collection and analysis or protecting its privacy and security, especially with the rapid technological advancements and the increasing reliance on smart systems and artificial intelligence technologies.
