The Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Yarmouk University welcomed students from Ali Khalqi Al-Shrairi School in the BTEC program specializing in Information Technology. This visit aimed to enhance the students' knowledge of modern technical specializations and familiarize them with the academic and practical environment provided by the faculty.
The students were welcomed by the Vise Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, Professor Dr. Imad Al-Shawqafa, the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Alaa Al-Hamoud, the event coordinator, Dr. Ali Zahrawi, and several faculty members from the college.
The organizers of the visit welcomed the students, affirming the college's commitment to enhancing cooperation and communication with educational institutions, and supporting initiatives and scientific visits that contribute to guiding students academically and professionally, and fostering their interest in the fields of technology and innovation.
The visit included an introductory meeting during which the college presented its academic programs and various specializations, in addition to the educational and skill development opportunities it offers to its students in diverse fields of information technology.
The students also attended a scientific lecture titled "Project Management," presented by Dr. Ali Zahrawi, during which he covered the basic concepts of project management, its importance in the information technology sector, its role in developing leadership and organizational skills, and enhancing opportunities for professional success, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The visit included a presentation by the students of their projects and technical ideas, where discussions were held and feedback and developmental comments were provided by specialists and faculty members, contributing to honing the students' skills and encouraging their creativity and excellence.
The visit also included a field tour of the college's facilities and advanced laboratories, during which the students were introduced to the artificial intelligence, programming and game development, and cybersecurity laboratories, and learned about the latest technologies and equipment used in educational, practical, and research aspects.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their happiness with this scientific experience, which provided them with the opportunity to closely learn about the university environment and modern technical specializations, appreciating the warm welcome and the information and expertise they gained during the visit.
