Last Sunday, I conducted an introductory workshop on the Crown Prince Award for the Best Government Services Application for its fifth edition, organized by the award team at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

An introductory workshop on the Crown Prince Award for Best Government Services Application for its fifth edition was held last Sunday, organized by the award team at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in coordination with the university's liaison officer, Dr. Ali Al-Zahrawi. The workshop aimed to introduce the award and its importance, and to encourage students and developers to create digital government applications that contribute to improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
The workshop included a presentation by the award team, during which the idea and objectives of the award were reviewed, along with an explanation of the participation conditions, the prizes offered to the winners, and the fields and evaluation criteria used in judging the participating applications. The stages of application and the mechanism for selecting eligible projects for competition were also explained.
The workshop also addressed the importance of the award for students, as it is a unique opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities that enhance their practical experience, contribute to the development of their creativity and innovation skills, and encourage them to think entrepreneurially and transform their ideas into practical, executable projects that serve the community. The students' questions and inquiries, where the award team answered them and provided the necessary clarifications.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Qasem Al-Radaideh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, along with several faculty members, in addition to a group of students from the college and university interested in participating in the award.
At the end of the workshop, a discussion was opened and the audience was listened to.
It is worth mentioning that the College of Information Technology won first place in the award during its first session. The college participates every year with a group of teams and will participate in the fifth session with several promising projects.
