Yarmouk University participates in the launch ceremony of the supply and demand study for digital skills in the information and communications technology sector in Jordan.
Representing Yarmouk University, Professor Imad Al-Shawagfeh, Vise Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science, participated in the launch ceremony of the supply and demand study for digital skills in the information and communications technology sector, conducted by the Digital Skills Association and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, on Monday, December 15, 2025.
During this event, His Excellency the Minister of Digital Economy, Engineer Samirat, the Director of the Digital Skills Association Digiskills, Dr. Alaa Nashwat, the Director of the Production Association, Mr. Fadi Qteishat, and the Director of Better Business Company, study partners, reviewed the importance of this study in advancing the information and communications technology sector to make Jordan a leader in the region and the world.
Engineer Lisa Naseeb from the Digital Skills Association presented the study and showcased the results reached by the partners. Among the most important findings is that graduates of the sector possess high technical skills, with an emphasis on the need to develop various non-technical skills among graduates. Additionally, there should be a focus on ensuring that practical training is targeted to meet the needs of local and regional markets.
