The Deputy Mayor of Irbid Greater Municipality, Imad Al-Naddaf, confirmed that the municipality places great importance on supporting youth initiatives and technological innovation, pointing out that digital transformation has become a priority in developing services and enhancing communication with citizens.
This came during his reception in his office this morning of a delegation from the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Yarmouk University, headed by Dr. Heba Al-Quraan, Assistant Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center and a faculty member in the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science. This was part of a field visit aimed at understanding the mechanism for receiving and handling complaints in the municipality, within the framework of their project to develop the "Sotna" application.
At the beginning of the meeting, both the Director of the President's Office, Hamza Al-Kofahi, and Ferial Al-Hamdoun welcomed the project team, appreciating their academic efforts in developing digital solutions that serve the local community. Providing them with a detailed explanation of the procedures followed to receive complaints electronically from the moment they are registered until they are resolved, and the role of modern systems in improving response speed and follow-up accuracy. They were also briefed on the complaint forms and reports prepared for this purpose.
Dr. Al-Quran praised the municipality's cooperation, explaining that the "Sawtna" application aims to empower citizens and enhance their electronic participation in the administrative and service processes, in line with the modernization and reform directions emphasized by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein.
