Yarmouk Shines in the DataDrip Data Analysis Competition
A team from the Faculty of Information Technology at Yarmouk University won first place in Jordan and second place among 10 Arab countries in the DataDrip Hackathon, which specializes in data analysis and was organized by Qafza Company. More than 1300 teams from various Arab countries participated in this competition, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, and other countries.
And 200 Arab teams were able to reach the final competition stage.
The winning team from the college included students Mohammed Rashdan, Zaid Abu Rumman, and Saad Al-Tamari, who excelled in presenting innovative solutions for banking data analysis and demonstrated their ability to handle big data and make decisions based on precise analysis.
The DataDrip Hackathon aims to enhance data analysis skills, encourage innovation and creativity, and enable participants to develop practical solutions for banking and financial data fields. It also focuses on transitioning participants from the stage of theoretical learning to real practical experience, and providing them with competitive expertise at the regional level.
As for the organizing entity, it is Qafza Company, which specializes in developing youth skills and organizing innovative hackathon competitions in the fields of technology and data. Its aim is to empower Arab youth to excel and innovate in competitive environments.
The hackathon was held on a virtual platform for a full week, featuring training workshops and mentoring sessions to support and motivate the participants to give their best.
