As part of Yarmouk University's commitment to supporting its students and enabling them to participate in pioneering technological initiatives, the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science participated in the Huawei Ambassador University Program – Jordan conference, which marks the official launch of the Huawei Ambassador Program (Huawei Ambassadors for Universities) in Jordanian universities, including Yarmouk University, with the participation of 8 universities from various parts of the kingdom.This event was organized as part of the closing ceremony for the Huawei Company competition in Jordan.
The University of Yarmouk was represented in this program by five outstanding students from the college, who were selected by Huawei Jordan after conducting interviews, namely:
Majd Baddour – Program Ambassador
Yamen Khazir – Deputy Ambassador
Wasan Yacoub – Team Member
Shahla Zawahra – Team Member
Jwan Salouma – Team Member
The ambassador team will be under the supervision of Dr. Enas Al-Khashashneh, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science.
The Dean of the college, who attended the ceremony for the distribution of ambassador shields and certificates to the team members, indicated that the Huawei Ambassadors Program aims to empower university students in advanced technology fields, develop their leadership and technical skills, and enhance cooperation between academic institutions and global companies.He also pointed out that participation in the program reflects the university's commitment to preparing its students to compete in the local and international job market.
This team will organize many events related to Huawei products and the Huawei Academy, and will serve as the link between Huawei in Jordan and the university students.
