A distinguished technical workshop on cybersecurity and digital forensic investigations.

As part of the specialized and qualitative activities organized by the Faculty of Information Technology, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Qasem Al-Radaideh, sponsored a technical workshop on the topic of cybersecurity and digital forensics, organized by the Department of Information Technology/Cybersecurity Program. The workshop was presented by the leading expert, Mohammed Al-Jarrah, who is the Director of the Cybersecurity Operations Center at the Public Security Directorate.

During the workshop, the lecturer, a surgeon, introduced cybersecurity and the most in-demand fields in the job market. He also shed light on the security threats and cyberattacks faced by individuals, institutions, and countries, especially Jordan. The lecturer then provided a practical example of ransomware attacks and how to deal with them.

Captain Al-Jarrah holds a master's degree in Cybersecurity and has obtained more than 30 global certifications in the field of cybersecurity across various domains such as penetration testing and ethical hacking, Cybersecurity Operations Center, Cybersecurity Incident Response, Digital Forensics, and Certified Cybersecurity Manager. He is also accredited by several countries in digital forensics, including the USA, UK, and Turkey.

The workshop was conducted by Engineer Mohammed Al-Jaafreh from the Information Technology Department, and it was attended by a group of faculty members from the college and a crowd of students from the college and Jordanian universities. The attendees interacted with many relevant questions and interventions.

At the end of the workshop, the college dean honored the guest, Captain Mohammed Al-Jarrah, with a certificate in appreciation of his efforts.
