The faculty of Information Technology and Computer Sciences Ranked Third in the Jordan’s Top Hacker 2019 Competition.


under the patronage of his Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, The Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Sciences has participated In the CyberSecurity competition “Jordan’s Top hacker 2019” which was held in AL-Hussein Technical University. More than 88 participants from different Jordanian universities have participated in this competition.

Jordan’s Top Hacker was organized by HTU “Al-Hussein Technical University” , one of the initiatives of HRH Crown Prince, in collaboration with King Abdullah II Design And Development Bureau KADDB and managed by a group of Jordanian Programmers.


This cybersecurity competition aims at building competencies in information security through a series of cybersecurity competitions and increase the awareness of the importance of cybersecurity domain.


IT collage in Yarmouk University has participated by 4 teams where one of the teams (00%Byte) won the third position. 00%Byte is represented by four students namely: Abduallah AlRashdan, Firas Sami, Saif Abu Ashour, and Adam Sabbah and supervised by Dr. Ahmad Alroud and Dr. Yazan Alshboul.

Group of students from the Faculty of Information Technology Computer Yarmouk University and Science participated in a training workshop in the field of entrepreneurship titled "Boot Camp", organized by the Organization of Girls in Tech Jordan branch, and in cooperation with the Jordanian competitive program and the Agency for Development of American USAID, and lasted six days, with the participation of a group of students Jordanian universities in Irbid Governorate.
Where the workshop addressed a range of topics related to projects emerging, business planning, and business models, creativity, and a study of target customers, and the selection of appropriate technology, and understand the competitive, in addition to identifying communication and service delivery channels or product, and planning for profit, and the identification of partners, financial dealings.
It was also during the workshop students guidance on how to put the idea of the project and status at the beginning of the road, and guide them to start your Parwahn to be Tamoahin stakeholders and investors interested in the projects.
Moderated and lectured at the workshop elite of entrepreneurs and innovators Jordanians and business owners in the field of information technology.
Dean of the College Dr. Sulaiman Mustafa pointed out that participation in this type of activity the students can get suitable jobs, or the establishment of a special project them in the future, opening up attractive investment projects and generating functions instead of searching for a traditional job.
It is noteworthy that the Deputy Dean of the College, Dr. Qasim Radaideh took part in the final day of the workshop as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee to assess the projects submitted to the posts by a group of entrepreneurs and businesswomen Jordanian.

Dr. Ahmed Ta'ani part of the Department of Computer Science, Yarmouk University in the Third International Workshop on applications of information and communication technology in the fields of education, health care and agriculture, which was held recently at the Royal Scientific Society in Amman, organized by the Information Technology Islamic network in Pakistan and ISESCO in Morocco, and lasted two days .

And Dr Ta'ani During the workshop, a lecture entitled "Expert Systems in the field of health care applications," which dealt with the importance of artificial intelligence and expert systems in the field of health care, reviewing the most important smart systems and modern systems expert in the diagnosis of diseases, such as diagnostics systems, and a description of the blood disease treatment, and systems expert for diagnosis and care of diseases, internal medicine, and lung diseases, diseases of high blood pressure.

Participated in this scientific workshop, more than 50 researchers who are interested and specialists from Jordan, Palestine, Morocco, Pakistan states.

Yarmouk students participating in the competition for Arab software and information technology

two teams of students participated Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Yarmouk University seventeen Arab competition for software and information technology for university students "ACM-ACPC 2015", which was held recently in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, and lasted four days.
And participated in the competition of 90 teams from ten Arab countries, which occupied the two teams positions 38 and 56 in the Arab world, and took second and ninth at the level of participating teams from Jordan, This is the first time that Al-Yarmouk University participated in this former internationally known and supervised by the major global technology companies and institutions.
He pointed College Dean Dr Sulaiman Mustafa to the importance of participating in such an Arab competitions started working on the development of the skills of creativity, innovation and teamwork, show contestants abilities to work under the available time pressure, and strong competition to solve one of life dilemmas using logic and planning and strategy possible solutions.
He pointed out that the Yarmouk won the second place on the level of Jordan out of sixteen teams participating in the competition of Jordanian universities, and Princess Sumaya, science and technology, and Balqa, and Jordan, and the House.
For their part explained Dr. Ahmed advocacy head of the Department of Computer Science, and Dr. Ahmed Saivan from the Department of Computer Information Systems overseers on the two teams, the teams competed on innovation and programmable electronic solutions to the problems of life, be put up during the competition in the form of questions directed the jury to the rider to find quick solutions and effective and easy to implement and cost at the same time.
This is a contest for software that participated by teams from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Qatar, in addition to Jordan, the oldest and largest international competitions in the field of computer programming, where he held since 1970 under the auspices of the Organization international Computer Science.
